Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Valora Therapeutics Inc. (“Valora,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information through this website, valoratherapeutics.com, and in connection with our recruiting activities. It includes disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).
Information We Collect
- Information you provide. When you contact us or apply for a role, we collect the information you submit — for example, your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn/portfolio links, résumé/CV, work-authorization responses, and any message you include.
- Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider processes limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in standard server logs to operate and secure the site. This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
In the language of the CCPA, the categories of personal information we collect are: identifiers (such as name, email address, and phone number); professional or employment-related information and education information (from job applications and résumés); and internet or other electronic network activity (limited technical data in server logs). This site does not use tracking cookies and does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. We do not collect “sensitive personal information” as defined by the CCPA.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you.
- To evaluate and manage job applications and our recruiting process.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
Where we create aggregated or de-identified information from personal information, we may use and retain it for our lawful business purposes. Once information is de-identified, we do not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law.
Notice at Collection for Job Applicants (California)
If you apply for a position, we collect the categories of personal information listed above (identifiers, professional/employment information, and the contents of your application). We use this information solely for recruiting and employment-related purposes and to comply with applicable law. We do not sell or share applicant personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We retain applicant information only as long as necessary for these purposes and as required by law.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf — for example, our website host and form provider — under contracts that limit their use of the information;
- Professional advisors, such as our lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers, where necessary for the services they provide to us;
- Authorities and others, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, safety, or property; and
- Parties to a business transaction — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this notice or a successor notice.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your California Privacy Rights
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected;
- Request deletion of personal information we have collected;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information); and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@valoratherapeutics.com. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally 45 days, with an extension where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it.

This website is intended for audiences in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

This site is hosted on Netlify, and web fonts are served by Google Fonts. These providers may process technical data as described in their own privacy policies.

Our website may link to third-party websites (for example, LinkedIn, Business Wire, and our investors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
